Hello there. I just ordered one of these serpents 😃

Anyone on this forum that runs one?

I would like some input from you fellow drivers.

yup, high quality finish on all the parts, one thing that catches people out with them is some of the plastics in certain key points are exceptionally hard, with those parts you have to take your time with a really strong good quality hex driver, or use a M3 machine thread tap on them, because I didn't know this before hand, I rounded out the hex head on a couple of screws and had to replace them.

I recommend, grabbing a copy of the manual from serpent's web site and having a good read through while you wait for the kit to arrive, take your time while building so you don't make a mistake like I did (fit a diff backwards).

that kit being the mid mount is aimed for high grip tracks, ie: carpet and indoor blue groove hard packed clay, as such I can't suggest a tyre choice, tho schumacer mini pins appear to be the goto here in NZ for carpet racing, tho if your going to be outdoors then proline calibre's or aka city blocks should be a good start point.

lastly, if you go with the instructions, the cars final setup will be a really good baseline for you to start with, my 2 out of the box in the hands of one of my clubs good drivers are slightly low on speed (esc settings, and gearing) but able to keep up with the front runners due to the handling.

I race the SRX2 SC and Cobra E-Truggy

Thanks, unfortunately tamico will probably be a no go to order from. Going back i found a part there and they would only ship DHL to the US and it was a fortune

I'd grab one of those kits from my local serpent importer/retailer, but the indoor crowd only run the likes of 1/32 scale cars, and the outdoor track is a medium grip at the best of times, but most of the time it's a low grip track....

      Hi Jon,
In the linked image, I've simply moved the bar forward until it is centered directly over the rear shock tower (approx. 10.72mm) and kept the same height.  Is this what you had in mind?

Are still manufacturing the gear box clamp for Monster Beetle?
