Would be good , if they bring back the Boomerang , Avante etc to replace the one's above :D .

So we have time to buy them , some of the T car's were not here for long . The price don't

help & it take's time to save . I would like another two Avante's .

Would like to see Mr T , make a "shot" buggy out of the parts , with new body , or bring

a boomerang black body , with white chassis & parts ltd ""woot"" "" woot"" .

Hopup parts , for the shot 4x4 cars , ball diff's etc , carbon chassis of sort , arms , shock towers &

in different colours ????? ...

Get that Tamiya sprit back & get creative !.

I'm not a betting man, but if I were my money would be on the Fighting Buggy.

I've noticed Tamico have put up the price from 239 to 299 euros now they have only 5 in stock. My hunch is saying that's because

they either can't or wont be ordering any more.

The German Tamiya distributor is out of stock and not restocking according to their warehouse status. That doesn't necessarily mean that Tamiya Japan has discontinued it, but it probably explains Tamico's actions and status.

Rising Fighter

Old hat and price dropped through the floor. Just picked one up for £44 delivered so I am guessing there will not be any more

Rising Fighter does need a refresh, if old hat translates to cheap price then that's good, Tamiya always need a cheap kit!

I'm a fan and look forward to RF2!

Great price on the rising fighter, have considered one a few times and at that price it's very tempting. Would the Hornet shell fit without too much trouble do you know? I like the thought of a hop up hornet with its better front suspension and clip fixed battery door, as well as dt01 box!! :)

If I choose one or two items, Wild one and FAV might be...

Just hope Hotshot series (with Boomer etc) not included in the list.. forever.:)

I have my eye on the sand scorcher and was wondering this exact thing. My birthdays in 7 weeks and I will be gutted if they sell out/are discontinued soon...

I think your going to be safe! Even if they do discontinue which is highly unlikely because it still sells we will probably get special editions? that's what I'm waiting for!

I'd suggest a boomerang chassis with a winger body, and some Vanquish lightweight wheels with alloy hex hubs, and it's about time Tamiya made some UJ drive shafts that actually fit and work in the shot series without binding. It seems to be the never ending question on here as to what will fit in them and actually work without binding at the extremes of the suspension travel at the front (I know you can use the Thundershot UJs in the rear of them).

Another dead simple hop up (Which I actually thought about making myself) is  a steel replacement for the alloy / brass hex part that holds the front bumper on. The number of old cars I've seen with the threads pulled out of these. It would be easy to make a version that the thread runs in both directions, so you can use 2 short bolts to thread into either side to hold the gearboxes together, then put a longer bolt (Say 3mm*10 or 12) to hold the bumper on and the thread would never pull out.)

DF01 , 2 , 3 UJ'S work well .

The biggest problem is people put in the wrong front uprights in . Boomerang come's with two

types . I got court out as well . Yes would love to see the winger body to come out again .

I can't wait till the MIP ball diffs arrive . As i will be rebuilding my runner boomerang .

I like your idea about the alloy / brass part . Would be good if you could make one & let us know

how it goes . I would be keen on 2 or more :D .

Well, I tried my re-re hotshot with the correct (TA02) uprights with some non Tamiya DF-02 CVDs and they wouldn't fit. Official Tamiya Thundershots seem to work ok for the most part but do actually bind at the extremes of the suspension movement (I have an original Hotshot HP suspension kit fitted).

It would not kill Tamiya to release a kit specific for the shot series with the correct uprights and the UJs to take the guesswork out of the situation. If I didn't already have the shafts I tried above, I'd have been seriously peeved at spending £20 plus on drive shafts to find out they aren't quite perfect.

If I ever get round to making some steel bumper mounts to replace the brass / aluminium ones I'll make it known on here. The trick to make it easy for me will be being able to find the right size steel hex bar so I don't have to machine my own from round bar to start with.

Hotshot has short shalfts on front . Boomerang has long shalfts all round . I run DF's all round, with know problems ( on Boomerang )

Not done it on hotshot . Not too sure why it would bind , with the right uprights . As it would be the same setup as boomer .

Bar shock setup ? . Would be the only difference & boomer has sway bar as well .  Have you got the O-rings in outdrives ? .

My boomer has the supershot suspension on it as well now & it don't bind still !.

The right hex bar would be hard to find ? Maybe lol .

The re-re hotshot had bits of sponge in the outdrives, but I pulled them out and still had a problem. The only other difference I can see is that I have a vintage SRM upper wishbone support fitted which takes a lot of the wobble out the upper wishbines, so perhaps that is having an effect. The binding effect was only noticeable at the very extremes of movement if I remember rightly, but I just wasn't happy with there being no play whatsoever in the shaft.

      Hi Jon,
In the linked image, I've simply moved the bar forward until it is centered directly over the rear shock tower (approx. 10.72mm) and kept the same height.  Is this what you had in mind?
