Do these four Tamiya's share the same front and rear ends. Grasshopper/Hornet, Vanessa's Lunchbox/Midnight Pumpkin. `Cause if they do I'll be rapped. As I have most of the parts in my trade room,[^] which I might have to take out. Am I allowed to do that??[?]

I think the Luchbox and Midnight Pumpkin had uprated rear end, as also found later on the Grasshopper 2 and Super Hornet? I'm also not sure about the front arms - those for the LB / MP are the same as GH2 and SH but if they are shared with the GH1 and Hornet...? [?]

As Canadian said they are the same. The LB/MP front arms are shared with the GH1 and Hornet. The rear gear cases are the same also. early Grasshoppers had a gear case with out the axle strengthening but those were changed before the hornet came out.

wildone, to make your parts into a Pumpkin chassis you'll need the chassis and D parts and the front axles. A few other items will be needed also. It might be more cost effective to pick up a used MP chassis for about $50 as you will probably spend more on parts.

Hiya Shodog, and others. Thanks for your replys. I'm currently bidding on a MP chassis, body, and chrome parts, I'll have to find some D-parts somewhere. The seller has got some, but I've spent upto my limit. As for all the other bits, I've got about three boxes of stuff from some of the other Tamiyas I've brought over the years. So I should be alright for some of the bits.

Cheers'

Del, get in touch with Don (y'know, Bluefoot). I gave him a D tree a couple of weeks ago that I got at my LHS for $2 since he was after one & I had no use for it. What parts where you after exactly? I have quite a few Pumpkin parts.

Mike.

i think the grasshopper gear case has a small indent in the front edge and the pumpkin/l'box ones dont [?]

The Grasshopper & Pajero ones have a little tab which is supposed to stop the down movement os the suspension going to far. The LB and MP don't have the tab.

The Pumpkin is still available NIB if you shop around for well under $100 US...Here is a site that sells them for $80 NIB...If you sold all your parts on ebay you could probably have an NIB if thats what you want..anyway here is the site...

I can hook you up with some body parts, except the body mounts. I bought the parts tree that has the rest of the body parts last week. It's probably better you actually just buy a NIB kit!
