Mini Cooper m03 battery

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am just rebuilding a mini Cooper I won on ebay, all is going well. The main question I have concerns the way the battery pushes the side of the body out, is there a way to overcome this as it looks wrong.

Many thanks,

Ian

If you use the optional quick-release battery holder, this offsets the battery slightly to one side to balance the off-centre motor. If you then put the battery in cable side first so the cable exits on the side that the battery has been offset from, there is more room, and the cable doesn't press on the body as much. It is then a case of taking the remaining stress off the body by securing the cable to the battery "wing". My mate uses a velcro strap, but I guess a rubber band would work just as well, albeit not as nice-looking.

Hi

Thanks for the reply, I will give that a go. Is the quick release holder a hop up or a part from another kit?

Thanks, Ian
