Carrera124 80 Posted January 2, 2017 Hello, is there an easy way to re-fix stickers that start to peel off from lexan bodies? When building a model, this is always a hard fight for me. Plain surfaces are no problem, but rounded sections and corners are always a big problem. The stickers will stick for 1-2 weeks and then start to peel off. I always clean the body and also my fingers before applying stickers, but I could figure out how to do it right.
TWINSET 1793 Posted January 2, 2017 Not sure about re-sticking but, on future builds, warm the decals with a hairdryer or hot-air gun once they're positioned - that'll soften the decal briefly, and when they cool down they'll retain their new shape
Carrera124 80 Posted January 2, 2017 Thanks, I will try that.
GregM 1109 Posted January 3, 2017 (Clear) Shoegoo worked a treat for me.
Carrera124 80 Posted January 3, 2017 Something like this one? https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00S8SM80Q/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&me= (sorry, never heard of "shoegoe" before).
GregM 1109 Posted January 3, 2017 Yes, that's the stuff. Works also great for fabric. And shoes, too (seriously).
volvotech 101 Posted January 5, 2017 Using a heat gun has solved this issue for me, it's made applying decals significantly more enjoyable.
Carrera124 80 Posted January 7, 2017 @GregM, how do you use/apply the ShoeGoe? Do you coat the stickers, or do you put it in between stickers and body?
