hello just bought me a TA03f pro and just wondering will this work for the 03f (53279) or will this work Tamiya TAM 53200 4WD Front One-Way Diff Unit for the 03f pro?

tnx any help would be much appreciated.

"Torque Splitter" is Tamiya speak for a one-way layshaft.

Yes, it will work with the one-way diff - but it's far from necessary - the one-way diff gives a much stronger one-way effect than the torque splitter, you would be hard pressed to notice a difference.

Unless you are going to race that car, don't get any sort of one way for it as it will be uncontllable under braking on the street or parking lot, only really noticable on a ice smooth racing track, save your money. But if you have already got the torque splitter, then no need for the one way bearing, the torque splitter is better for racing, but if you do have it try it out and see what i mean, one ways should only be used on the front as with the torquq splitter.

thanks

Thanks for the advice guys ,I havent bought anything yet I am planning on racing my 03f pro this winter.Another thing guys before I go is this the same thing as a torque splitter<Cross Front Center One Way Center Shaft for Tamiya TA03F Pro Chassis Cars> need to know beacause its cheeaper.

What about this do you have any idea what this one does>Tobee Crafts TA03F Front Counter Shaft & Gear for Tamiya TA03F Chassis Cars>.

Sorry guys have alot of questions.

Yes I beleive its the same, just remember, when using a oneway, when braking you will only have Rear wheel brakes, very tricky on a tight course. Be careul with the one ways, I never ever used a one way in either my 03F DJ or my 03R TRF.

The counter shaft sounds like a lighter one, although Tamiya still make this for quite cheap, get 2, they help alot to aid acceleration as they lighteen the rotating mass.

thanks

quote:an example is the FF-01 can not fit the diff version because of the shape of the bulkhead, thats why all FF-01 came with a ballraced diff. a torque splitter could also not be used due to the gearbox configuation. so the FF-01 can't have a normal oneway diff installed

A one way in 2WD wouldn't also make sense as you don't need to counteract the different speed between front and rear axle, also the car would have no brakes at all [xx(]

Cheers
