56014 M4 Sherman build

Recommended Posts

So, I started building this 10 or 12 years ago, put it in the attic and forgot about it...found it again when moving some stuff around up there looking for summat or other and decided to drag it out and finish it at long last.

I'm going through the build manual and notice the front fenders / track protectors - I think they look rather odd.

The pics on the front of the manual and in the painting guides show the model without the fenders and IMHO looks a lot better without them.

Any thoughts or opinions on the front fenders ?

Do they serve any purpose ?

They're a health and safety bit - don't fit them :)

Ah !

I'm from a time before H&S existed so I don't need them :D

Think they look terrible anyway.

Also www.tankzone.co.uk do many upgrades for these tanks. Be warned as I know from experience that it can get expensive lol.

Yes, I've looked on there before & thought the parts were quite expensive...but pretty much everything for the Sherman is showing as sold out so I think I saved a fortune.
