Hi all,

My first post and hopefully not too naive a question - will Sand Scorcher wheels (and tyres) fit on a Blitzer Beetle, without any modding? In other words are they hex nut rear / bearing front and are the axle diameters the same?

Many thanks!

The fronts should, but the rears wont. You'll need some adaptors - they are available, but I can't remember what model they're from. I think I have a couple if you need them...

Ah, I hadn't thought of axle length. Not to worry, just thought it might be an easier / cheaper alternative to getting some white wheels.

While I'm here, could anyone point me in the direction of some alternative tyres that would be more suited to 50/50 on/off-road use? I've obviously trawled through forum posts and earmarked Dirt Hawgs and Geolanders, but wondered if there were any slightly more 'economical' models? They don't need to be stellar performers, as long as they don't wear too quickly!

Many thanks...

I use Schumacher Vee-4 on the rear of mine - seem to be very hard wearing. I've never bought a pair new, they've always come second hand, but they seem to last really well...
