What's to stop you buying a new midnight pumpkin and turning it into a lunchbox? Is this possible? what other parts would you need apart from shell, chrome, decals and body mounts?

Cheers

No reason it cant be done at all.

Might be a bit expensive to get something like the body shell, might be better to buy a runner Lunchbox and restore the shell to use on the Pumpkin chassis.

Actually that swap is done a lot. The original lunchbox has a black speed controller and motor with a white endbell, but tamiya made these over a number of years and some running changes were made over the years. That is the only differance. You could buy a nib lb body set,a new pumpkin kit and soon have a new built lb,then sell the pumpkin body and recover some of your costs. The down side is no box or manual, but no big deal to some.I have had dozens of both as for years they were my fav and did that swap many a time[8D]

I've already done what you've all been talking about.. I bought the MP kit, LB body kit, LB Complete Box, and a LB manual to complete the kit.. I changed the screws package tags from the Pumpkin to the Lunchbox to make it a true NIB Lunchbox..

The only difference that you can tell from the Lunchbox kit and the Pumpkin kit is the color of the parts blister pack lids.. The Lunchbox is green and the Pumpkin is purple.. Thats the only difference between the authenticity between the two kits.. If you were to find a green blister lid with the parts in it the NIB Lunchbox would be 100% complete..
