OK so I've got a (15.5t) 2400kv brushless motor on the way for my Lunchbox and I'm already spinning the rims in the rear tires. I understand that cheap super glue is a decent solution because it will hold on and is relatively easy to boil off later.

Will a 2400kv brushless motor and glued tires be too much for the gear box of the CW01? Are there any feasible alternatives to gluing the tires on? I'd like to get some sand paws at some point for sand/snow..

I have a Futaba 3prka transmitter and I can limit the throttle if the brushless is too much..

If the gear box is built correctly with bearing and the gear mesh is good you shouldn't have any issues.

Have you tried the rubber band trick?  Wrap a rubber band around the bead of the wheel before mounting the tire.  Works pretty well and no glue required

OK I'm still on the stock motor but I threw a couple of super cheapo (and actually fairly brittle) rubber bands in each rear tire. I went from ghetto slipper clutch take off to full wheelie mode again. Thanks fellas! :D
