List of models with ABS Bodies?

Hello Tamiya Club,

I've searched but haven't found a list so far. Does anyone know if there is a currently list of models that run the ABS bodies?  Like most of us i'm drawn to Tamiya for the scale and it seems that the latest cars to hit the market with lexan shells lack detail. Cutting out the body on my Jimny was an exercise in frustration and self control as the body lacks so much detail that it was hard to figure out where to cut.

Anyway, enough of my ranting.  I've been looking through the car listings and making my own list of ABS cars but was wondering if there was something already complied somewhere. 

If not i'll be more than happy to put one together.

Here's the list, as promised. First all with hardbodies (styrene/ABS), then the ones with polyethylene. Some of the kits also included a lexan body. Where applicable, I've included the chassis type in brackets. Models are listed by item number. I have not included the tractor trucks, 1st gen. Tamtechs and tanks as they all have hardbodies. Also, I dropped the QD's as I reckon they aren't of interest in this context.

Think the QD monstertrucks atleast should be added these are excellent, Wrangler, Blackfoot etc Buggies doesn't look so bad either.

Amazing list. I pretty much stick to the ABS ones for the same reason as you and have only made exceptions for lexan bodies with my Mini Cooper Monte Carlo (because I had to have one) and the 959, which is so detailed it could be ABS.

I do wish they would release more ABS bodies. The Porsche's they do would be lovely in ABS and provide a logical follow on from the first 2 cars they ever made. I would also love to see a new buggy with ABS to go with my Fighting Buggy / Super Champ.

Funny you mention that. Have been thinking of getting a QD for my kids who are not old enough for full on cars yet but really want something to drive. Are they any good?

Best thing about the QD for kids is the size of the remote and the speed of the cars. Downside is the electronics are old fashioned and 27Mhz. I had/have several QD Monstertrucks and buggy and they run quite good in original state. The monstertruck are quite robust but not that many spares depending on model. It is possible to replace the electronics for modern. My nephew has a QD Wrangler and except for the remote antenna it survived two years of abuse (got replaced by a wild dagger after that but still works). They turn up frequently here in Germany eBay or online fleamarket prices vary though. Victor101 is a good place for parts
