Lhodgo 208 Posted February 12, 2017 Seriously, now my previuos post has just been edited to change what I wanted to say. anyway, they merged my other post so never mind.
Hobbimaster 190 Posted February 12, 2017 Lhodgo, Yes, you can simply cut off and replace the connector with whatever you want. I'd try to match up the ESC plug to the battery since it looks to be the better plug. The old molex plugs are not very good, I run a 3000Mah NiMh sport battery in mine and it runs well. wolfdogstinkus 1876 Posted February 12, 2017 Two threads have been merged on page 1 to keep things tidy. Bad etiquette / possibly rule breaking to question moderation in public, best to PM a mod and ask the reason for the merge. Nice car though.
Lhodgo 208 Posted February 12, 2017 I found a little adapter plug from a battery set. Worked a treat. Just tested the buggy on the street out the front...oh...my...god! My face nearly blew off with enjoyment. So fast.
Lhodgo 208 Posted February 13, 2017 Body cut and fitted. I was a little disappointed with the lexan thicknesses towards the lower perimeter of the body shell but once the bottom section was fitted it's come up a treat.

Every time I try my own thing I instantly regret it even if it looks good. I did my super hotshot in gun metal and it looks great but still not as good as box art grey.

WillyChang 1812 Posted February 16, 2017 Is that the bright silver or the anodised? Looks sleek!
Lhodgo 208 Posted February 16, 2017 Just plain old tamiya silver. Isn't it hot? it came up so nice. Benefit of lots of thin coats I guess.
WillyChang 1812 Posted February 16, 2017 haha, I lack that level of patience... my PS12 jobs have big meaty particle chunks yours looked like when I bothered with Anodised & PS5:- made the extra effort to honour it's "Platinum Edition" status

Lhodgo 208 Posted February 20, 2017 Well, I've had a crack at putting a driver in my egress. It's knowhere near the quality of Fuigo's efforts in my post: Although for my skill level I think this works ok? I certainly like having the driver in all my buggies so Hairy Ogre gets the big thumbs up in my opinion.
Fuijo 867 Posted February 20, 2017 Thumbs up from me. It looks fine and fits nicely. It's also nice to see some variety in what other people come up with. It is a bit of a fiddle to get it all to fit nicely around all the electrics isn't it?
Lhodgo 208 Posted February 21, 2017 Yeh it was tough to fit it all, not sure if I'm settled on my design yet.
