Converted one of my SC10B's tonight. Both cars have been upgraded to full SC10.2 Factory Tean spec. Both cars will be for sale, I'm just trying to figure out how to best set them up.

SC10.2 FT

  • Team Powers Sport v2 ESC
  • Reedy Sonic 13.5t brushless motor
  • Savox 1258tg servo

This car currently has a Futaba R304SB Rx in it, but that's a very specialized unit and I think it would actually narrow down the field of possible buyers. Also, those electronics aren't bad and I would prefer to keep them.

SC10B FT

  • Turnigy Trackstar 80a ESC
  • Turnigy Trackstar 13.5t brushless motor
  • Turnigy Steering serve / 1258tg clone
  • Custom Jconcepts "Flying Tiger" tub

This car is just plain cool and it's really too bad that the Short Course Buggy class was stillborn. The body is simply awesome, too.

Okay, here's the point of this post. I have a very good friend who will solder up whatever system into whatever car for me. I greatly value the power train in the first car, but would sell it if the price was right. Again, though, that's not my first choice.

Right now, my plan is place the Turnigy system into one of these two chassis and get it on eBay ASAP. So which one would sell better and for more money? I'm leaning towards racing the truck with the Reedy system and putting the SC10B FT up for sale as is. I could add in a stock Associated XP transmitter and receiver combo, but I don't know if anyone would even want that.

I guess the question comes down to this; is a basically RTR SC10B with lots of extras worth more or the same as a SC10.2 FT roller with a plain black lid?

RCTech has a seller's forum, not sure how that works. With eBay, there are protections in place for both the seller and the buyer, not so sure it works that way on chat forums. Anubody have any experience with selling here or there?
