KEV THE REV 2319 Posted February 17, 2017 Hi all Does anyone recognise these parts and what model they are from ? . I have sat them next to a Madcap rear axle so you can see the scale / sizes http://jpegbay.com/gallery/005999124-.html#1 Also got this pinion that I can't find an application for , it's the larger one on the right which is next to a 380 pinion for Countach etc http://jpegbay.com/gallery/005999166-.html#1 Any help greatly appreciated
mongoose1983 3335 Posted February 17, 2017 I am almost certain the double pinion belongs to the Porsche 934 from 1976. Perhaps the rest of parts are also from that kit?
KEV THE REV 2319 Posted February 17, 2017 I've checked out all of the early kits Erich , they don't appear to be from those . They look to be Tamiya , but maybe they aren't ?
mongoose1983 3335 Posted February 17, 2017 A mystery indeed. Have you checked the 1974 Sherman tank pinions, Kev? I can't find pictures of that one anywhere.
KEV THE REV 2319 Posted February 17, 2017 I did look at tanks ,but they didn't look to be from those either , but maybe a tank expert on here might know as the manuals are not comprehesive enough
purplerob 6 Posted February 18, 2017 Hi Kev, I have exactly the same pair out of pack. The distinction of the large one that has the grooves down the center. Only thing I can offer is that I got mine in a parts case that had 934 parts in, until now I assumed it was out of part no12. Be great to see if anyone identifies it. FunwithFox 4 Posted March 7, 2017 (edited) Just for reference here's a picture of a SP-12 pinion set for RS-380 And I can try to look into my Sherman next week for additional info. FunwithFox Edited March 7, 2017 by FunwithFox
KEV THE REV 2319 Posted March 7, 2017 Thanks for your reply FwF . I had one of those new in pack sets of gears and it isn't one of those
FunwithFox 4 Posted March 14, 2017 Hello! I looked at my 56001 (RT1601) Sherman and I do not think the parts in the first picture came from that kit. I didn't disassemble anything so in case the parts are not in view it's still possible. But I took some pictures and put them in a more suitable thread: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?/topic/82164-56001-sherman-rt1601-transmission-pictures/ FunwithFox
mongoose1983 3335 Posted March 15, 2017 Have you checked if these parts belong to any of the old AYK models, Kev?
KEV THE REV 2319 Posted March 15, 2017 Hi Erich I don't have any AYK info / manuals unfortunately

With a little more time of searching you might come with something. They have most of the hard to find manuals of the most exotic vehicles you can think of. Good luck, mate, and have a good Friday!
