Actually the manual does show it correctly, I must have interpreted it wrong the first time...

Fortunately it didn't look right so I corrected the mistake at the time anyway but definately a pay attention moment...how it should look, bear in mind this is the view from the underside (from where it is assembled anyway)

Thanks TeaMonster.

I've been at work today so only managed to get a few bits done.

All the shocks/dampers

Fitted front and rear shocks, the rear gearbox is connected up with 4 of the 6 screws so I can drop it easily when I'm ready to paint...

Not overly impressed with the strength of the front bumper, looks like it's got less than one proper impact in it!

I'm deliberating painting the wheels pearl white to match what I'm planning to use on the shell to go with the sparkelescent blue. But couldn't resist getting it on its wheels in the meantime...

Final bit of work for today, the part I detest, I really wish Tamiya would give us pre cut bodies!

The Bigwig is probably the biggest PITA shell I've ever had to cut out!! I still have some fine trimming to do but had enough of cutting out the shell for today, really didn't enjoy this step and will be happy when I can move on for paint!!! On a positive note, the rear hook setup for the shell mount is a really cool touch!

cheers

Nito
