Hotshot

So I am going to buy a Hotshot kit to build. I have wanted one since I was a kid. My question is, what ESC and other items do you all recommend to get with it? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you talking about the current re-release kit? It comes with a TBLE-02s which is more than capable of all Nimh and some Lipos, though it doesn't come with a LVC for lipos. If that's not good enough, check out HW quicruns....

Thanks for the reply. I thought I read that the re-release did not come with one...

Not sure where you are at but all kits sold from US sellers would include the ESC.  I think it is Japan market kits with no esc but someone more familiar with other areas of the globe may come in to help.

In New Zealand we get both with and without the ESC. The price is lower without but usually not enough to cover the cost of an ESC.

Neither the Novafox or Boomerang re-releases from Japan had ESC. That meant I could order better ones which was a great result for me, but cost a lot more

ESC supply in kits is dictated by that country's importer, they can order either which way.

Same with MSCs too, Japan kits usually didn't get MSCs as std whereas most overseas kits had them.

Which explains the fluoro MSC/ESC sticker on box lid (not printed on lid) and it gets its own instruction sheet, not part of the main build Manual.

With the tble 02 it wont take lipos the voltage is to low only nimh it takes ..sorry !

You can run lipo on the tble 02s, you just need a low voltage alarm. I run one in my hotshot

Indeed. I run one in my F103. It works fine on 2S.
