Emperor 4 Posted March 17, 2017 Hey Mates, could someone with a TA01 Buggy and a Madbull/Fighterbuggy try if the Shell fit between the Shock mounts? Thanks in advance
i_am_scarecrow 913 Posted March 17, 2017 Not sure if this helps but it could be made to fit a TA02, aren't they very similar? I'm not sure what TA02 buggies were available or if the shock mounts are different to the car version but with a few mods to the body it would certainly go on-
Emperor 4 Posted March 17, 2017 Well my Thinking was more that a Buggy Shock mount (its different) would allow the Body to sit more flush btw iam thinking on putting one of my Madbull shells on my TA01/TA02/Manta Ray/Prerunner (its a massive Kitbash)
TurnipJF 9192 Posted March 18, 2017 I have a Mad Bull, and this evening I'm due to go visit my mate who has a Manta Ray. I'll take my bodyshell along to try, and let you know how it goes later this evening. I suspect that it could be made to fit but would need a bit of surgery to the shell, as the front shock mounts on a Manta Ray are a fair bit closer together compared to those on the Mad Bull. WillyChang 1814 Posted March 18, 2017 MantaRay shell is wide enough to fit battery widthwise, GH2 shell isn't. By the time you've hacked off enough of it to fit lower onto tub... IMHO it's gunna look like a BlazingStar anyways might as well just get the lexan shell & save work hacking
TurnipJF 9192 Posted March 18, 2017 Just tried it - as suspected you'd need to trim the Mad Bull shell to fit between the narrower Manta Ray front shock towers, and the little internal supports each side of the front of the cockpit would need some surgery, but otherwise you're good. The battery is far enough back to fit under the rear wing overhang thing like it does on the Mad Bull. As an aside, the Manta Ray shell fits the Mad Bull chassis quite nicely with only minimal changes needed to the front shock tower openings.
Emperor 4 Posted March 18, 2017 Thanks for the Info well the Main reason for my choice is simple: I have a few Madbull shells but no longer a Madbull Chassie also i hate Lexan Shells ......really i hate them with passion
