*gulp!* D*MN! That must be some happy seller, and some crazy Bidders, lets do a drug-test on all of them!

Lol, and then: it appears to be fake bids, that is gonna be 1 saaaad seller... LOL

Guys, I bought the Frog. I didn't want to pay $1050, but it kinda became a bidding war. What can I say, I wanted that kit. I'm sure some of you think it was stupid (Tanker), and maybe it was, but in reality I'm sure all of us are guilty of paying too much for any of these models. $100, $200, $300, $400 for pieces of plastic, rubber and some metal that when combined, amuse us. Anyway I'm happy.

James-good for you. Thats what makes a kit worth what it costs. If its this number or that number, thats not the point. Its, what is the kit worth to you? If your willing to pay the number it takes to get it-thats what its worth. Merv [8D]

I dont like NIBs personally.

At the very least build it even if you dont run it,otherwise you will just keep looking at it thinking that cost me "x" amount and I got no pleasure out of it at all!

I as well am not a big fan of new in box but many guys are. I had 82 new in box kits. Most ended up getting sold-and I'm sure are still not built. Some guys just have to have it that way.I understand. But for me it has to be built. No matter-its stll love either way.[8D]

Small, Merv, I see both of your points. I am actually enjoying the anticipation right now! I think I'll wait a little longer though... I also just bought TC member Jayjay's NIB Subaru Brat, which I'm estatic over because it was my first Tamiya kit. So hopefully that will hold me over for a while...[;)]

I think you need to at least open it and check that it isn't full of rocks and mens underwear....[xx(] (see other thread...[;)] ).

It's a lot of money, but that's the thing with 'value' it's totally subjective, one's man's junk is another man's treasure etc

Leave it as it is..You know that the moment You open the box, You will have another opened NIB Frog as the rest that are going for 500-600usd..I think eveyone knows that..[;)]If You want to look inside I will send You some pics. There is nothing to see inside that will balance the feeling You have when You hold the shrinked Frog..Regards

Well, if you want to get technical read this.... Its a 9 out of 10..

Now in my collectibility book a sealed Frog is rated a 10.. I was bidding against you James, but 580-600ish was my max.. You are the man for 1000 bucks..WOW!!! Anyway, if you opened it and started opening parts it would go from a 10 to about a 4 in my book...

I'd say leave it sealed, and just buy a restore Frog project for 50 bucks if you want the " FEEL " of the car.[:D]

Thanks, I do intend to leave it wrapped for the time being. Thats a cool site but it seems to be missing a few models? Any info on the Subaru Brat?
