rroodd 0 Posted November 12, 2004 Anyone ever come across the "Aristocraft Hitec SP-1530R" ESC before?? Looks to be a vintage one - this one came in my Futab FXT buggy, and the size of the heatsinks on the transistors got me laughing...!!! I really want to know how much current it can handle.. Rod. ideal2k 3 Posted November 12, 2004 Wow, that's really old. Probably 1989-90. Low-budget ESC, I think reverse on that is only full speed if I remember correctly. I wouldn't trust that with anything more powerful than a Johnson 540.
Twmaster 1 Posted November 15, 2004 Hehe, I have one of those around here somewhere. Big, ugly and heavy. One of these days I will get around to checking it out and putting it in some vintage ride.
rroodd 0 Posted November 15, 2004 Hey Mike, Yeah, I'm keen to find out how much juice this old fashioned beast can handle. (probably not a lot...) Might just chuck a hot motor in the buggy, and give it a thrashin' and see what happens. When the smoke appears, then I'll know that's it's limit.....[] Rod.
