I'm a basher, not a racer and I need to know if the 54297 reinforced lower deck is more durable than the stock one (that is covered in deep scratches). Prescient 671 Posted March 22, 2017 Is this purely a cosmetic issue? As a basher any chassis plate can get scuffed. The frp chassis do deflect light impacts a fair bit more whereas the standard plastics scuff at the slightest thing. Either way, the best solution is helicopter tape or reinforced parcel tape. This is a good cheap fibre reinforced tape option http://www.screwfix.com/p/eurocel-extra-strong-packaging-tape-clear-50mm-x-50m/40728 Those frp chassis plates aren't cheap.
