Saint Dragon

Hi guys, picked up a saint dragon body shell and decall sheet. I know this fits a madcap but they are pretty expensive and getting quite rare. Any other options? I'd like to stick this body on a buggy for the shelf.

It uses the same chassis as the madcap but you need the saint dragon rear body mount or you could fashion one out of some aluminium plate .

As for being rare it depends on how you look at it , there was far less of these sold than the madcap but it is a love ut or hate shell , im going to be doing one at somw point , have all the bits ready just waiting on the donor car and tbg body

Don't all the "Dragon" shells fit on Thunder shot chassis and Hornet chassis?

The saint dragon body has all on the cut lines to fit the hornet chassis.  You will just need to locate or make a rear body mount. 

 

Or you could just just sell me the body:)

I don't think the saint dragon shell is the same fit as the Thunder or Firedragon shells? Of at least that was my understanding. By complete fluke I just found a madcap for $50 so I'll post some pics soon. Missing a rear wheel though.

Am I right that I'll need to swap the blue shocks with red ones? Are the red shocks off any other rig that I can source?

I think the Bear Hawk might have used the same red friction shocks as the Saint Dragon. I also seem to recall someone one here (Pintopower maybe? not sure) was able to  carefully dye the standard yellow CVA shocks red, if you'd like to "look" but with the improved performance of an oil filled shock.

I've gone yellow to black so maybe I can give that a go.

I think Pintopower dyed the shocks in his "Hornet 2 and Hornet 3" builds in the vintage section, if I recall correctly.

The yellow cva shock were an upgrade bitd , red shocks for the saint dragon, same as bear hawk and a few others , i got my red set for a mad bull , the red plastics are still easy enough to find though if you want the box art look

Well here it's is gang. Embraced the black as the original body was badly painted so I just fixed it up ready for the vintage decals. Ended up finding this awesome condition chassis and original shocks. It's not mint but it's a very acceptable vintage display car...and all original.

I know this body is a little ugly, but it's also very unique and it's almost so ugly that it's cool. Think of it as the Dustin Hoffman Tamiya buggy.

and yes, someone will point out the missing bumper screw I'm sure 😂😂😂

Mine were on the rolling chassis off eBay.

I bought the last available front tyres in europe. Now they are sold out. But I can sell 2 pairs if someone is interested. Shipping to USA and Europe.

Each 2 pairs from front tyres and back tyres are available.

WOW, that looks pretty cool in Black. If you need that rear body mount for your ST Dragon, I have a loose one here and the body DOES fit onto a Hornet. I had a scan around here of about 4 different chassis that St Dragon body would plop onto provided you did a bit of alternate body trimming. If folks need a part here and there for these, reach out to me, I have some limited supply of bits NO TIRES, might even have a wheel???
