badword! Where you got these ultimate rare alloy gearboxes? They are made by RC4WD?!

That is right ;-)

Got these directly from RC4WD many years ago :-)

Looks fantastic. I prefer the narrow look on the side by side pics. Very original build.

Enjoy :)

I try to sell all my rc cars, so I was about to take some pics this morning of this one as well. This is what I noticed:  CRACKED SIDEWALLS!

It's less than a year and a half since I got these 1.9 Mud Bashers and built this truck. Since then, it was on a shelf, away from direct sunight, moisture etc!

All four of them have cracks, what a huge disappointment!  Unacceptable. :-(

I hope NOT the alloy gear boxes!! They are terrible rare!

The damaged trucks shows the bad quality of rc4wd products. thats typical for it....

I sent them an email about this cracks, this is what they replied:

Good morning Stamatis,

Thank you for reaching out to us!!!

Unfortunetaly we can't do much. Our warranty only covers the first 30 days.
Some tires just don't sit well, regardless of weather or conditions.

We do apologize about this happening.

Hope you have a nice day.

I suppose sending you a replacement set was a bit too much for RC4WD to even think about.  Post some pictures of those tires everywhere, pal. A reply like the one you got is completely unacceptable from a serious company. I'm sure an American company would have sent you a replacement set, heck maybe two.

Don't bet on that, probably more luck with the Asian sellers.

Some of the older RC4WD tires do that. The more modern compounds seem to do better, but the car often needs to sit on a stand when not in use to not end up with flat spots.
