M-07 Mini Chassis

I hope they make plenty of everyday cars so that people can make replicas of their fullsize rides.

Yep I know. There's a gentleman in Russia who makes the mk2 GTi, which is cool but I want m-chassis.

Sure, I'm looking forward to the Subaru Outback or forester :P

My Grandfather had the saloon version of the Subaru Brat so I hope they go retro!

Reckon I'd be the only buyer!

I'm hoping for cars like the Ford Fiesta and KA, Nissan Micra, Renault Clio, any of the small Peugeots, Toyota Aygo, etc.

+1 on any fwd small car, mk1/2 xr2, nova, rs turbo, clio, not fussy. Just not some half attempt like kamtec do. Their 1/10th scale golf and corrado look ok but the 1/12th scale bodies leave a lot to be desired.

My current m chassis project has a Kamtec body, as does my Bowler. I'm impressed given the price but there is so much more detail in my Tamiya Mini body.

Given some of Tamiya's recent releases, could we see a Merc AMG A class? Unless their agreement has run out, a BMW 1 series coupe? A MINI Paceman or Cooper Works?

I agree that a Yaris - perhaps the forthcoming Gazoo hot hatch, would be a hoot.

Release date of June 25th and a bunch of new photos are on TamiyaUSA's Facebook page.

As well as some interesting new bodies, lets see some different wheels.

We can't put minilites on everything M chassis 😒

Don't forget to buy the tires and the body and whole electronics.

FYI, here's the manual. Looks like a decent runner, with CVDs, bearings and oil shocks standard. I like how they have actual, functional droop screws, and the rear 'inside-out' suspension looks like a decent solution to not having to buy a set of toe-blocks or suspension blocks.

Geometry-wise it looks like it has longer arms than the M05, which should bode well for handling and shock setup. It seems like you can even use 'regular' touring car shocks on it without running into ground clearance problems (see; last page of the manual). I can't wait to see some decent reviews of it, or even better, grab a quick drive of one at the track.

A TC member - Pininy - has one in his showroom, hoping he might do a build thread...

Some news that might make a lot of people happy.  There's possibly a second M07 chassis in the works: a short chassis to fit 210mm Mini bodies.  It looks like its all the M07 bits bolted to a reduced length main chassis.

RCMart had a post about a possible "S" version of this chassis coming soon too.

Yeah i got that email too. Good to know there is the option for the smaller bodies as well.

I have to take a raincheck on one of these, as I just came across a M-04 😊

In my opinion it's perfect for a Lancia Fulvia HF!

I'm still convinced that fwd car bodies are for fwd rc cars and rwd are for rwds, it's my limit

(Same thought about A112 Abarth)
