Are you looking at making your own custom LED harnesses to plug in? :)

Don't Know about the MFC but assume it's like the TLU-01 in how it drives the LEDs - instead of a set resistor to control the current, it's got some sort of switchmode transistorisation - I can hear a high pitched whine...

Unlike incandescent lightbulbs, LEDs have very low electrical resistance (so they can't be connected directly to a battery without some form of current control) and all they need is about 20-50mA at a voltage of anywhere 3-9V. 

A LED being lit at 50mA 9V... usually isn't all that much brighter than 2 LEDs daisy chained in series running at 50mA and sharing 4.5V each.

So if you have an existing harness consisting of 2 LEDs, you could often splice another 2 LEDs into the circuit in series and all 4 would light up without losing much brightness.
