Picked a monster beetle up.

Managed to find an original monster beetle at a bootsale last weekend. I was going to sell on, but always wanted one so figured I would give it a bit of a restoration. 

Are the body parts on the reissue the same as original? I need a nosecone, so hoping so!

I recently fitted a Re-re nosecone to an early body and it fits fine.

Pretty much all original parts can be identified, against the remake/rere part. So when we say "same", it's a relative term - a newer part may fit ok. But if you enjoy the idea of keeping your car "all 1980s" then a rere part fitted to an otherwise all-1980s car, can be (to quote Morpheus) "like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad"...

I have the nosecone in hand! Going to try and have a play with this next week. I have a plan for the body, will see how it works out!
