After fitting the brand new Absima shocks to my son's buggy last week we took it out on Saturday.

After the run I was dusting it off and noticed this....

Youve uploaded too many pictures and have hit your limit. Youll need to delete some or upload to photobucket and copy the /img code across to here.

With missing spring bases.... no ive never lost a piece.

The spring retainers are kept in place on the shafts by the pressure of the springs. If the shock travel exceeds the length of the spring, the retainers will fall off. The solutions include fitting longer springs, limiting the shock travel, fitting shock collars to push the springs closer to the retainers, or limiting the suspension travel so that the springs are always under slight compression.

Cheers.

Looking at the other shock I could see what I had happened, although I couldn't replicate the issue!

The replacement one I machined up is a couple of mm longer giving a touch more compression, so hopefully it won't happen again!
