I currently own a VW Amarok (WT01) and noticed that the Bush Devil II has a wider stance, or at least looks as if it does from pictures. Does anyone know where I can download or view a manual to the Bush Devil II, I want to compare the arms and see what parts I would need if the Bush Devil does have wider arms.

Also, I've broken 2 front knuckles on the Amarok. Do the GF01 TL1021 GPM knuckles fit perfectly? Would I need additional hardware (different step screw size)?

Thanks-

That is a great looking truck!

The WT-01 was one of the chassis I shortlisted when considering my first RC. To turn a WT-01N into a full width WT-01 you'll need the suspension arm sprues P/N 10005688, the dogbones P/N 19805551 and the steering tierods P/N 19805583.

My Amarok is still in the box waiting to be built. After looking at the white one above, it'll stay in the box a little longer while I find the parts for a wider stance. That one looks great. Thanks tamiya_1971 for starting the thread, as I wouldn't have even thought about it.

Me thinks Truck Norris should make a picture thread so we can stare at all of the beautiful builds.

Is that wider than the Amarok "custom lift" too?

Yes, the Amarok is the only narrow one, the Blackfoot III, Xtreme, Bush Devil 2, Mud Blaster 2 etc are all the wider version.

My bad, I thought OP was talking about the original orange Amarok, I didn't realise it was a CC chassis, I thought the orange one and custom lift had the same chassis just one optimised for on road and one for off road kind of like the TL-01 and TL-01b, if I had known the OP was talking about the custom lift one to begin with I wouldn't have made such a dumb comment!

Good to know though, I've always wanted a custom lift but they seem scarce in the UK, maybe I can build build my own but with a wider stance.

I found the arms on Tamiyausa.com, but they don't have the other parts. Is there another website I can search by part number to find the other parts?

Tried searching for "tamiya [part no]" on eBay?

I didn't think of that. I was searching by model or chassis. Found the tie rods on eBay searching by part number. Thanks!

Now, just gotta find the dogbones.

Sometimes they are listed without the "1" at the beginning. Try searching for Tamiya part number 9805551 perhaps?

Found the dogbones in Blackfoot iii Parts Bag #9400076 on ebay.

Posting info in case anyone else comes along with trouble finding parts.

Thanks for the help in searching Peter_B and TurnipJF.

I received all the parts last night from tamiyausa to convert our Amarok, I'll post a before and after pic this weekend after my son finishes it.  Thanks to everyone for the help on the parts and manuals!

My son and I converted the Amarok from narrow to wide. He ran it and was quite pleased it no longer flips. We just need to trim the fenders to stop the rubbing on the tires.

Very nice! Looks awesome with the really wide stance. Do you remember what the color is that you painted it? I've got an MX-5 body for another kit, and I am wanting to make it look just like my real MX-5, which is very close to the color your painted your Amarok.

Thanks!  It is Tamiya polycarbonate spray PS-46, iridescent purple/green.
