Had anyone checked tamiyausa prices lately?

Recommended Posts

I was looking at some different models for specs and started playing with the search function on their site. I picked a class and showed 100 items per page and sorted price lowest to highest.  After you scroll through the out of stock items they have some really good deals.  A tt-02 for $93,  RTR XB models starting at $164, FF03 for $100. I can't even find these models on any other sites for that cheap.

Edit to add free shipping and no tax if you don't live in California.

TamiyaUSA has had special deals on scratch'n'dent, unpopular, and end of production models for quite some time.  The old format of their web store was easier to navigate to find some of these deals.  There are also discounted spares and hopup parts for some models, too.  They only ship within the USA, and they have had some credit card hack problems in the past.  Use a prepaid card to protect yourself.  The PayPal function on their site was erratic.  I've bought several things from them in the past, but also had problems with card compromises too.

Yeah I check the site regularly.... thats how I got my Lunchie project WR02 chassis for 99 shipped....... ebay has them for 150+ shipped. There have been some sweet deals that I thought Id wait on only to find them sold out the next day like the XV01T for 110 shipped.... :(

Is there a way to get them to ship overseas?  I'm guessing they don't accept foreign credit cards and won't ship to freight forwarders.  The price on the DN01 and TRF201 is very tempting (although I think customs charges might ruin the savings).

I have been thwarted by no overseas shipments too. 175 bucks for a trf201 is too tempting even from the UK. Annoying thing is my business UPS account could do the shipping for them!

Thanks for the offer. I'll find out how much it will cost to ship. And find out if I'll get divorced if I buy another kit!!!

Just remember to mark it as a gift 😉

I would reframe from reducing the value though, as if it goes missing in transit, that's all you'll get back in insurance.

Stop posting about these cheap deals for US customers please, it makes the rest of us extremely jealous when we have to pay higher prices at

www.ripof*******.co.uk

www.nocheapdealsforeurope.eu

www.laughattherrstoftheworld.com

I'm moving to the US just as soon as I'm fed up enough of paying more for everything.

I found the Coppermix Silvia for sale on TamiyaUSA for $145.00 USD. Original price was $324.00. I purchased it, then copied the link to post the deal here. Now, it's not available. I must have got the last one?

https://www.tamiyausa.com/items/radio-control-kits-30/4wd-shaft-drive-on-road-(tt)-36110/rc-nismo-coppermix-silvia-58386

Am I to assume that TT01 is an old chassis replaced by TT02 and they were getting rid of stock?

If you choose the tab that says Gallery, it only shows the camo one. My guess is that the shark mouth picture was just shown at the bottom to give details on the chassis.
