Beatties were always my 'go to' Nottingham store back in the  early 80's but after they went  It was Dee Gees. To be honest I'm like everyone else probably part of the cause of the decline of the traditional model shop because of almost buying solely online these days. But even so, it was still nice to pop in from time to time and browse - it instantly took me back to being a kid.

Hope someone takes it over as is, and its doesn't just close like the rest

I hope it stays open too, always call in when I'm in Nottingham. As a kid I used to go from Beatties to Gee Dee's looking at the Tamiya's.

Brought a Kyosho jetstream from there about 27years ago and still have it😊 pity I can't get any spares for it.

Gee Dee was the first time I saw the wild willy on the promo videos😍 but got a Frog instead!

Hope they sell and keep it going.

Aww man I hope it stays open. I'd take something like that over if I could make even a modest wage out of it, as long as I could pay off my initial investment.

I'm on not much more than minimum wage so if I could take home 20k a year I'd happily run a place like that but you still need it to be profitable enough to pay off the money you put into buying it.

I remember the hobby shop local to me closed years ago and he was trying to sell it for ages but nobody was interested so he just wound it down in the end, I wonder if he would have passed it on if someone had been willing to buy all his stock...
