First off the servos.

I am using the hop-up steering servo mount and high torque servo saver on it. I might have to change the shift servo as the screw mount holes are broke

The shock mounts done on the chassis. That's all for know

I tell you their are some serious amount of trees in this kit its gonna take a fair amount of time sorting through them and then trimming the parts required before assembly if I come out of this build with my fingers in tact I will be surprised.

Hopefully I'll get another go at it sunday

Do need a replacement screw ?

I might have a spare - drop me a PM.,

They only put one screw in the kit and it,s a 3x100mm one with a shank half way iv,e spoke to my lhs and hopefully they are on the job even though it might take 5 weeks for a replacement from the hobbt hobby company.

Thanks for the offer tony.

Great build to watch.

You might want a slightly higher turn motor, the stock is 27t and that is 33t, it probably won't do much if I'm honest.

Ive gone for a Carson poison truck motor, 70t - 80t. Be interested to see what you think of the torque tuned one.

Sorry but I can't seem to post any more pics up as every time I try I get a message saying only allowed to upload 64 meg

I have the same motor in my grand hauler but tbh I have only had the chance to run it in my small living room and seeing the grand hauler is so long it don't run far

Attaching the servos to the chassis. I might've have to swop the steering servo as the mount holes are broke. Using rc bearings for my third build know. Got the gearbox finished after stripping the thread in the pinion gear and used hop-up shocks but tbh they don't offer much difference imo

Interesting to hear your views on the oil filled dampers. With my cab overs (moreso the euros than the globe) they tend to bounce a bit with all the weight over the front axle and have often wondered whether to purchase some oul filled units to make it more realistic.

I think when that truck came out I also wondered if there was enough LEDs in the MFC kit for both sets of spots. You may have to trade leds for which ever ones you want to, as there is 5x 3mm amber leds for the clearance lights, and you might want 4 white 3mm leds for each set of spots. I also think there is only enough LED plugs for all but 2 sockets. You may have to improvise (sacrifice park lights etc) or use a seperate led unit for one of the sets of spots.

Looking forward to the thread 😊

tbh as of yet i aint impressed with the shocks but that will probably be down to me as regards to i may not have built them propperly  seeing they dont rebound. i think its just down to how they are assembled i will try and re'do them tomorrow.

as to the spot light led's i will use spliter leads to get them all in if not i will use a seperate set non tamiya  or a tlu-01 witch ever will be cheaper
