What type of aluminium does tamiya use

Hi all

Just been thinking about the aluminium parts tamiya use and wounded what type of aluminium? This is a kind of thought i have when finished work and just relaxing, sad i know but true, so if anyone can help that would be cool. I am sure that they might use different grades of aluminium for different parts with more stress put on them

Tamiya  must have patents on cheese  for alloy pinions at least.

7075 is used by Tamiya. It's strong but will wear down. There seems to be a range on 7075 however as I have had some other manufacturers parts that are like cheese.

i assume they use other types for some cheaper parts like pinions etc.

Yep had a few pinions like that my self mad racer

Now that is interesting qatmix about different range of 7075.
