I remember buying jars of white, black, and pink of PS paint (#1, #5, #11) when I was a kid to paint my Frog body.  I remember later on buying sky blue (#49)...  Maybe my memory is wrong???

But it looks like Tamiya doesn't sell the PS paint in jars anymore???  When did they switch to only Spray???

They still got it, it's PC bottles. but you would need to order them

or you can open a spray can and pour it out into a bottle. i do that with my empty spray can, there are still some in there.

What?! I was under the assumption they were discontinued... So it is just that no hobby shop in the free world stocks them any more? I need to get me some!

The PC jar paints appear to be shown only on Tamiya.com, not TamiyaUSA so maybe only still available in Japan ?

I've not seen them on sale in the UK for maybe 10 years now.

I use the Parma paint with an airbrush slightly thinned (only just started doing this) and so far the results are pretty good - and you can use a hair dryer gently between coats to make it even faster. Alternatively I have heard of people decanting the PS sprays into a jar and waiting for the aerosol to 'burn' off and then using the paint in an airbrush for better control - I guess the reason for doing this is you get much better control with the airbrush than a spray can and you get the specific Tamiya colour you want.

Oh yes and you need to use the Fascoat clear after all colour to make it more durable otherwise it's easier to wear off!

Yeah I haven't seen any here for about the same amount of time. I will get in touch with the NZ distributor and ask if he can special order me some, hopefully they can help.
