Wheel / Tyre Balancing

Hi a number of my RC models don't have the best balanced wheels / tyres and I am trying to find a suitable balancer available he in the UK that is compatible with the all the Tamiya sized wheels and tyres - WT sized TT-02B and down to TT-02R sized road tyres and the description on nearly all the ones I have found on UK suppliers are distinctly lacking in use full information. Does anybody have an recommendations?

Realistically, unless they are massively out of balance and causing huge vibrations through the drivetrain or your doing mega high speed runs it isnt going to make that much difference. Im fairly sure hobbyking make a wheel balancer

Just buy a magnetic propellor balancer.

the bigger ones should fit any wheel

I bought a Sky RC balancer - which just about carries by Blitzer Beetle wheels / tyres with Schumacher Vee2 & 4 truck tyres - you need to be careful as the magnets are not that strong and the wheel will fall off! 

Wow - what a difference the balanced wheels make - before the rear arms might move as much as 1 cm up and down under full throttle with a 13.5 turn motor - now they barely move - (although the tyres appear to be quite buckled side to side) I have no figures to backup the results but it seems to handle better and acceleration seems to have improved a little. now I have a whole load of other models to do!

I bought some Dynamite wheel balancing tape which is just a reel of lead with sticky tape on one side - will be cheaper to find a source of thin lead and a reel of double sided tape in the future.

I use a muchmore racing wheel balancer it does standard size buggy and tc wheels and tyres no bother at all. I use self adhesive lead tape for the wheel weights I believe I got it on ebay years ago and it was listed as balance tape for golf clubs and tennis racquets. For racing having balanced wheels really makes a difference but for general bashing I wouldn't really bother.
