I'd try something like deluxe materials 'super crylic' with some of their lightweight cloth.

I've had some good results with their products.[:)]

Soldering iron , melt right through the parts , then smooth back over the top with iron.

Ive even used the same plastic as welding rods , if theres not enough strength.

Do you use a temperature controlled iron? If so what temp?

Get yourself a bottle of 'Gem-tack' Its the stuff that jewellers use for setting stones in the relevant settings etc. Its very cheap, exceptionally strong, easy to use and dries clear.

I've been building kits etc for more years than I'm going to admit and have yet to find something better.

One word of warning though ......its not quick drying..... takes an hour but leave overnight for a structural part and it will be stronger than new.

Good luck

Dingo no just a cheap iron , if you have temp adjustment , then turn down quite low , just to get the plastic melting , dont go to high or things happen to fast and you may burn the plastic.
