Dirt-540 68 Posted July 7, 2017 Was wondering what other chassis' (both 2WD and 4WD) work well with the Sand Scorcher body shell. I would wish to still use the Sand Scorcher style wheels and tyres too unless of course it's a 4WD chassis. Am aware with a few mods the Grasshopper, Hornet and Frog chassis' work well and their wheel base and tracking is just about right. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I guess it depends what you want to use it for, I wanted a Beetle that could go anywhere and as I have so many DT01's I thought why not. The wheel arches had to trimmed to fit around the chunky tyres and the nosecone needed some cutting down but otherwise it was quite simple. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The shell looks a little different now though. The wheels are the black WR02 ones, Banzai were selling them silly cheap a long time ago so I bought a few sets. The tyres are the spiked versions of the regular Madbull/Lunchbox ones, again I bought quite a few from Banzai back when they still had Tamiya parts in stock. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
