I've determined a 380 motor is perfect for my tiny backyard track. While I can put a 380 in cars like my Grasshopper and Frog it won't work in every application. Which crawler motor, 35T or 45T will approximate the speed (but with more torque, no doubt) of a 380 size motor? I had a 55T on hand to try but it was too slow, so I've narrowed it down to 35T or 45T. I'd like to try some reduced speed trucks like my Lunch Box and Monster Beetle on my little make shift track. Thanks for any insight.

Sorry if my question seems a bit abstract. Has anybody used Tamiya's 35T crawler motor for instance and could they compare it to the speed of a typical 540 silvercan perhaps?

A 35 turn crawler motor Is much slower than a tamiya silver can 540 that is 28 turns I believe.

I would try the 35 turn out of the ones you spoke of.

I've just done this to try and get the right speed for a truck for my little boy. I put an HPI 35t in a TL01B with big wheels and it still provided a decent turn of speed.  I imagine that any slower and it stops being fun.
