Hopefully Erich can post some pics for me. I completed Awesome Kong II and decided to build the other truck that Jeff Dane built.

I started with an original repop blackfoot body and two extreme Blackfoot bodies. This truck was a long bed so I needed all 3 truck bodies to make it.

custom roll bar, wheel wells from the early blackfoot cut out and added to the later body to create a 1986 ford fleetside long bed.

pictures will commence when Erich posts the pics. Thanks Erich!

Very nice work / decals - looks spot on !!

Truck (and all work) belongs to Jeff TCer Vanspeed, Kev. He can't upload pictures so I'm helping with that.

That means if you want to give King Kong III a "like" please go do that on the 1st post, otherwise I'm getting those myself and not the owner of the truck. Of course, you could blame our good friends from Photobucket for that ;)

Have you got some pictures of the making of the triple roll-bar, Jeff? If you do, share a couple of those with me. I can share them here also, no probs. ;)

Really inspiring work!

what is the red bed off of in the first set of photos with the body cut? I take it this shell is a Blackfoot front, red bed (Clod?) and Blackfoot Xtreme rear arches?

Blackfoot Extreme bed combined with orig Ranger (82 & Blackfoot 86) wheel arches to perfectly match the front ones and get the correct bodyshape. ;)

Thanks Erich, do you know what he used to join the parts together?

Unfortunately not. Jeff used to send the pics to me to get them here.

I'll send him a message tonight and will get you some answer.

Or better than that, get the man here telling us more how he does his magic :)

Thanks, much appreciated.

I haven't got a reply from Jeff. :(

Maybe he changed his e-mail address?

Wow. Just wow. One of the best looking Clods I've seen in a long time. That body is awesome

The front of the cab is an original Blackfoot. The bed was made from two king Blackfoot bodies, since they are fleet side style.

I use weld-on. It is specifically made to “weld” styrene together.

It's GREAT to have you back in here Jeff !!

I understand you're working on more classic Monster trucks these days. I know I would love to see what those trucks are.

If any help is needed to share pictures here just let me know, I'll be more than happy to help :)

I was gone because I got back into my other hobby pretty hard. I build traditional hot rods and that has taken up a lot of time. I will be dabbling in retro R/C monster trucks though.
