vwbug2016 1 Posted August 4, 2017 Came out great but my steering does not centre well any ideas? I thought perhaps the rubber covers were snagging but looks ok. Servo is centred correctly...
Snappy1 966 Posted August 5, 2017 Is it a very cheap servo? I have found the cheap ones don't centre correctly, Remove the servo saver from the steering mechanism, if the steering is not binding without the servo, it probably isn't the steering at fault
vwbug2016 1 Posted August 5, 2017 Its standard futaba used in the xb kits ill try and post a video, you turn and then it just wont return straight very annoying!
Delayar 13 Posted August 8, 2017 The Bigwig needs a servo with a higher torque, because the rubber boots add some resistance to the steering. I also had problems with a cheap standard servo, I replaced it with one which has a torque of 110Ncm (at 6V). It now works fine. I wonder if a high torque servo saver would further improve the steering. Cheers, Markus

tamiya monkey 243 Posted May 25, 2018 Hi everyone, my steering works fine, but doesn't have much lock, is this normal or is it just mine, ive tried altering the end points but doesn't help much.
Jonathon Gillham 4606 Posted May 25, 2018 Its probably normal, none of the Shot series cars have great steering lock.
