Tamiya934BlackEdition.jpg

Tamiya’s Porsche Turbo RSR Type 934 TA02SW Black Edition is a special color variation version of the Porsche Turbo RSR Type 934 Jägermeister. This variant uses brand new gold color stickers designed to accentuate a black color scheme. The TA02SW exhibits a short-wheelbase and has a wide track to accommodate the scale form of the real Porsche sports car. It normally features a tub chassis with 4-wheel, fully independent suspension coupled with a rear ball differential and a front gear type differential. This special edition is fitted with a double deck FRP chassis for increased rigidity and a few hop-up options. The kit will hit stores about mid-October.

Features:

  • 1/10 scale R/C model assembly kit. Length: 435mm, width: 202mm, height: 130mm
  • Polycarbonate body with separate side mirror and wing parts. Separate light cases are also included
  • Includes aluminum motor mount, hard propeller shaft, FRP damper stays, ball diff cup joint, and universal shafts
  • Brand new stickers with gold color designs
  • Includes LED light unit to light up headlights and taillights
  • The TA02SW chassis has a short (236mm) wheelbase and wide tread setup
  • FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) chassis
  • FRP front and rear shock damper stays optimize the CVA oil damper-fitted 4-wheel double wishbone suspension
  • The stainless-steel propeller shaft is highly durable and offers efficient transmission of power, particularly in combination with the front and rear assembly universal shafts, which come with ball diff cup joints
  • Enclosed front and rear gear cases have built-in diff gears. The rear is fitted with a ball differential
  • Comes with 2-piece wheels, tires and inner sponges. The rear of the model uses wide wheels
  • Full ball bearings included
  • Includes 540 motor
  • Requires: 2-channel radio, ESC, Tamiya PS spray paint, 7.2volt battery with charger

Thanks for sharing😉

Wish Tamiya would bring out something other than another porker though, still it will sell like hot cakes.

I was hoping for some kind of JPS-style gold on black racing livery, but pure black reminds me of when I watched Condorman obsessively as a child purely for the Porsches.

I haven't seen that since my Dad took me to the cinema!

With my birthday being late September and wanting to get something to get my teeth into it will be this or the MF01-X Beetle Rally as my first brand new Tamiya. I wanted the Subaru 24hr but now there is a separate bodyset coming. out

Classic film, good ole frank spencer😁, I was only thinking about this film the other day, did condormans car have a ramp on the front?

now that's nice! :o   If there's any Tamiya Porsche I'd want in my collection, it's this one.

almost bought one of the TA02SW Porsche GT2s last week but got something else instead.  Glad I waited now, this is one for the Christmas list.

Given it has the FRP chassis etc, I'm anticipating a similar pricetag to the Anniversary Porsche...

Yep, it launched one Porsche into the one following him.  It all looks so goofy and simple compared to the car chases you get today.

I'm kinda underwhelmed. It's s 40th anniversary kit with a different paint job.  I have a few spare 30th/40th shells so I may pick up a Gold sticker set.

Maybe I am not getting this. What is the difference from the anniversary edt. and this one. You get to spray it another color and some stickers we haven't seen yet?

Don't get me wrong, it looks awesome in black, but am I missing something here?

The only new part looks like the stickers, which will almost certainly just be 1/10 versions of the TamTech Black 934:

I thought the 40th 934 was a lazy parts bin special but this takes the cake!

I agree with the less than enthusiastic comments expressed above. My first thought at the sight of this was "meh". It's a totally underwhelming release.

Considering they have brought back this chassis there were a number of far more exciting kits from that early 1990's era that they could have re-released.

For this one they should have fitted it with a 1/10 hard plastic body to make it special. The lexan shell painted in black looks unimpressive IMO.

Clearly.. they are milking the TA02 SW for releases of the short wheelbase bodies.. Im guess we may soon see the Lancia 037 on there..

I think it would be cool if they:

1. Create a new chassis around this wheelbase, such as a shortened TA07, 419 or TB series

2. Release a new optional set of rubber tyres and inserts to allow this car to drive better.. those rubbers are ancient

But then we are talking about Tamiya.. the don't listen too well

LOL... you're funny.  But for reals why isn't this released on a M06 225mm extended to 230mm... so obvious Tamiya...

Tamiya should make an M08 out of the M07 as mid engine RWD with the 037 in polycarbonate... as long as we are dreaming.

I'd also love to see a Peugeot 206 WRC re-re on the M07 or a 911 GT1 re-re on anything.

M08 is coming, I firmly believe it.

motor layout, hopefully will be flexible like some 2wd buggies.. rear layout that's switchable to mid layout, depending on surface / traction.

I keep looking at buying an M06.  As soon as I do, Tamiya will announce the M08.  I'd bet I'm not the only one thinking this.

Seems like this certainly isn't coming out on october 20, given tamiya hasn't officially released any info.

Anyone know any more?

Wonderland Models in UK suggesting available 15th October, but that date could have been up there for weeks.

Modelsport suggest next stock in 5th October (really ??)
