Pricing looking good though, given what Tamico was shifting the Jagermeister one at (£140-150 at lowest iic?) I guess with exchange rates this will come in around the £180 ish mark during their advent season.

I keep looking at buying an M06.  As soon as I do, Tamiya will announce the M08.  I'd bet I'm not the only one thinking this.

I think its your duty to buy the M06 so everyone can get their M08's!

I wanted one for a while until I saw some vids of in running in a track.... man it steered like crap

The M06 hardly steers like crap.. you need to have patience in setting it up.

This is the picture of my 3rd place M06 at the Tamiya M chassis TCS regional race in Las Vegas. The first place winner (M05 V 2 R) ended up being the US TCS champion that will be heading to Japan.

After the final race he came up to me and told me that he had never seen an M06 drive like mine.

I'll start a donation page.  Everyone that wants an M08, send me a dollar towards the M06.*

is this kit really going to be limited in production numbers?

the previous anniversary kit, porsche 934 jagermeister, has a product code starting with 8 which suggests it's a limited edition porsche but months after its release it can be found easily on retail shelves everywhere.

some sites claim this kit will be limited in production volume but it has a product code that doesn't start with 8.

can someone enlighten me?

Re the Jagermeister, down to price and popularity. It's neither a basher nor a current race chassis.

Looks nice but unlike say the Top Force it sits in some middle ground of meh.

Possibly higher production run due to anniversary status but it did sell out from the main UK dealers pretty quick.

Well I'll certainly be picking one up once the initial prices settle down (soon as rcmart has them basically).

Although I've just bought a FFO1, FF02, FF03, F201, DN-01, Top Force as well as hopups for most, plus parts for my kyosho's, traxxas, vaterra etc in the past few months, hmm hope it's not out for another month, my hobby account bank balance needs some recovery time... :P

I see tamiyablog has a picture of the box up. so hopefully tamiya will cough up some info shortly.

Having a 8xxxx serial number doesn;t mean much these days - the Fighting buggy was released as 84389 and as 47304 - the latter possibly just being a Japan market model number as opposed to a global one.

There are some models re-released on 5xxxx that become quite scarce within a few years, suggesting they only made limited numbers of kits (perhaps scaling back or killing production after initial rush of sales and then a rapid slow down) - Boomerang being an example

It needs grip.  I run 34mm wide rear tires on mine and I'm never wanting for traction.  Front brakes would be nice however.

LOL... you're funny.  But for reals why isn't this released on a M06 225mm extended to 230mm... so obvious Tamiya...

Tamiya should make an M08 out of the M07 as mid engine RWD with the 037 in polycarbonate... as long as we are dreaming.

I'd also love to see a Peugeot 206 WRC re-re on the M07 or a 911 GT1 re-re on anything.

When I am right, boy am I right!

I get the feeling tamiya is holding off on releasing the black porsche cause there is still a lot of yagermeisters out there. The wait isn’t going to make me buy the orange one though... the 037 is interesting, will it be pvc or polycarbonate? Will it include drivers?

hmm, maybe, but I'd considered the black porsche as a christmas present to myself and if they don't get it in shops soon-ish they'll miss the Christmas market.  I've already considered buying the GT3 porsche instead...

It's ABS.  The website is now updated to include a boxart photo too.

Looks like I’m gonna get to answer my own question. Kit showed up at 5:45am this morning.  At first I was Whats that all about then? is at my door this early. I’m recognized the mailman though the window.  A couple of pics before I shoved off to work

Kit contents look the same as the anniversary 934.  Wing sprue molded in black.

I wonder if this one still has the mismatched wheelbase issue....

I would guess yes.  This kit isn't much different than the anniversary 934

So what’s the dealio with this car?  Is it really a limited release?  I’ve been able to snap up a spare body and 4 decal sheets.  Are these parts available as spares or do you think sellers are breaking up kits?

Another version of the TA-02 934, this time exclusive to Tamico: https://tamico.de/index.php?a=220470 limited to 333 kits.

Looks like the Black Edition box with a printed insert or sticker over the top, showing the 49400 version with the forward body posts and 24mm wheels. Only change is the green wing and Vaillant stickers.

Tamiya Japan must have had some involvement as they'd have needed 333 sticker sheets and I doubt either Tamico or Tamiya Europe would have that many still in stock. The other possibility is that they've had their own stickers printed.
