wanted, 3x22 step screws (blackfoot/monster beetle, maybe others)

Recommended Posts

Has anyone got a pair of these screws? They hold the front arms to the chassis bracket. The 22mm ones are the longer ones that also go through the shock tower. All the frog/brat ones are 3x20.

If not, any ideas what else they are used in? I cant find any.

Thanks.

Can you use M3 screws/bolts and those little brass ferrules?

Yeah, if I have to.

Better than spending £12 on a bag of screws (guessing new price if i ever found any).

Just to confirm, these are what I need.

If you really get stuck, send one to me and I'll have a go at making some. I could turn down some M5 stainless Allen bolts and thread the end. 😁

Thanks, but I have a lathe. The thought has crossed my mind.

My lathe is 115 years old though and im still using hand ground cobalt steel tooling. Im not sure I can get a finish good enough to not accelerate wear in the arms.

I will be able to sort something, id much rather have the right screws though. I cant believe they arent reasonably easily available!

Ill make new arms with better attachment points if I have to!!!
