That X-wing is just tremendous - and the fighter plane is cute :)

The others do confirm my suspicion that motorcycle liveries would look great on this model. These photos really open the mind to the possibilities...

All info is in this manual, in the parts listing at the end

Just use a 4xAA battery holder from maplin etc and solder a Tamiya plug on it. Costs about £2 a in and fits perfectly. It’s a shame we didn’t get the battery parts but it’s cheap to just make one.

These things are so cool.

We never really took on the Star Unit series in the UK- I've never even seen one for Sale. Does anyone know if the line is popular in Japan?

I think the UK is still waiting on the next shipment - Hobbyco typically didn't import many on release <_<

Have been running mine on 4x1.5 but had the chance to borrow a 2s Li-Ion pack, wow quite a difference.

I think they look pretty cool.

What’s going on/been done beyond the wide rear wheels compared to a standard one?

Tamiya still know how to bring the fun into racing! Which I think a lot of the local BRCA  clubs in the UK need to take a good hard look at doing:rolleyes: they just look so cool racing

Cool. Sounds an expensive way of doing things mind!

Would need a good grasp of kits to pull off I guess.

Glad people think outside the box and do these things.

That's really cool, what chassis is that? Does it make much of a difference when running? Like the forks too 😎
