Vintage tomahawk questions.

I seem to have got myself a tomahawk.

Its not in my hands yet but i think it has a few issues.

 

Its missing a rear shock, chances of getting an original? Are re re shocks exactly the same?

Im not sure about the body, got a split I think, again, is the re re identical?

Tyres, at least one front is bad, the re re tyres are different arent they, chances of finding originals? Im hoping the rears are good, I can cope with the differences in the fronts.

EDIT, I have just found out the re issue tyres can be had in different compounds! If i use these, what should I get, soft, medium or hard?

Other than that, I think its good.

 

What is an original worth? Its a good runner. I havent found any for sale. They seem rare. 

Its value may be a factor in what I end up doing with it.

Would you use the re re bits, or better period tyres/shocks? Any recommendations for tyres and shocks?

My intentions are mainly shelf but not scared to run it if I want every now and then.

 

It has the stock MSC, am I limited to normal silver cans, or could I pop something better in? Period le mans?

I (think) the re-release shocks are larger diameter...you could either replace all 4 with re-release ones or maybe scour ebay.
