TWINSET 1793 Posted September 8, 2017 I bet Photobucket's IT hoarde are already working on it
JatoTheRipper 36 Posted September 26, 2017 I couldn't get it to work even with their instructions. There's another, similar Photobucket extension, but I haven't tried it. But I agree with TWINSET. It probably won't be long until Photobucket breaks it.
nowinaminute 2815 Posted October 8, 2017 I've been growing increasingly annoyed by all the damage done by Photobucket's recent decision to ban hotlinking unless a ransom is paid. Thousands upon thousands of forum threads full of useful information have been rendered useless or highly compromised by this. Today I just randomly decided to see if anyone had come up with a work-around, all it would really take is some URL hacking to bypass. Turns out someone has created an extension for the google chrome browser that restores the images automatically so that you can carry on browsing forums without missing images! Perhaps this information could be added to the sticky post at the top of the forum? So many times I've searched about carrying out a mod or repair only for the all important photos to be missing, no more!https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-hotlink-fix/kegnjbncdcliihbemealioapbifiaedg?hl=en Just as a disclaimer I am in no way affiliated with the people who made the extension (I'd be quick to soak up the credit if I was!) I hope this will relieve frustration for others as it has for me. 2
