Edit: Just noticed it says NSSMO SKYLLIN.

Edit2: NIASSN on the roof. :lol:

I want one now, just for that alone.

Oh that is awesomeness right there. Once seen can't un-see and all that.

Sums up Tamiya though £10 on the plastic £110 on the licensing.

Looks good, that was quick as well, surely that came from the UK or EU warehouse.

It says, hobbyking Ipswich on the label, had the option to collect for free, or just under £7 for parcelfarce 48hr delivery 👍😁

What are you waiting for? Go drive it. Then come back with action pics, and pics of it without the shell. :)

Waiting to get the kids to bed, and a micro reciever to arrive, plus I need to chop the battery connection off an fit a deans/T plug! 🙄 (coupled with getting up for work in just over 6hrs)

If you really need pics, I can post them tomorrow, photobucket takes a while to play ball.

The chassis looks to too bad, spool rear and ball front diffs, adjustable oil shocks all round but the most solid useless tyres I've ever witnessed on anything other than an Argos special, but need to swap the wheels anyway for the transam body, don't think the bandit would approve of these 😂

Didn't notice until you said!!

It's not the normal thickness of lexan, it's a bit on the thin side, but £60 delivered and only needs radio gear and a battery!?!

The esc is a wp1040 , 40amp version of the famed 1060, which means it'll take a 3s lipo 😁

I've finally found it on the UK site. The previous attempts would only link me to a global shipping option. All makes sense now.

I must have looked at that car at least 20 times over the last few months and never even noticed until I saw your picture.

They're drift tires. Very hard compound so you can slide around. Try them out before you swap them, or at most, burn them down to bare rims first.

No rush on the pics. Just curious on different angles other than what the website shows. ;)

No wonder they drift, I'm surprisedyou get enough grip to even move! 😨

I'll post some up some, once I get home on Wi-Fi, the YouTube vid is actually fairly accurate.

Once the surface burns off them after a couple of mins drift tyres are better.

You must have tried the electrical tape around normal tyres trick at some stage to attempt drifting as that grips but a few layers of that is proper slick.

Thanks for the pics. Much appreciated. I'll be getting one once they come back in stock for the USA. Is there any room to adjust for changing the spur and pinion gears, or are you stuck with what it came with?

Well, got the connection swapped over on the esc and managed a min or so run time on a storaged lipo.

Normally, you have to turn in, off the throttle, full throttle to get the tail out, this thing doesn't go in a straight line without a fight, it just wants to swap ends!! 🙄

Spent yesterday evening at a great RC venue, TC track, off road track and a drift track.

Car now has 3 wheel steering! 🤔

Got my NIASSN SKYLLIN today. Overall, appearance-wise, it looks to be built better than I was expecting for a $80 car. I've just gotta get some bullet connectors so i'll have a compatible battery. Also, I think it said max 2S on this one, so gotta get that too before I run it. Doubt it would be too impressive on Nimh stick packs. Did you ever fix yours?

The quality isn't too bad for a cheap thing, body is a bit thin.

Mine came with a hobbywing 1040 esc, which can run 3s lipo.

Not got around to fixing mine, got the parts, just not spent the 5 mins to fix it yet! 😕

I'll have to reread the specs. I could have misread them. And yes, the body is a bit thin. I have a Ford F250 body that will fit, and was considering making a drift truck out of it.

Great for a project blank canvass.

I was surprised how badly (?) a drift car drove, I know I know, they're not meant to go in a straight line, but it was a real struggle to get any kind of speed out of the thing! I'm going to see about new rubber and see if that makes a difference to improve things.

Wooders you tried driving this like a normal TC whilst still fitted with this hard Drift plastic tyres fitted?? Legend ;)

Please remind me how much this cost again? (Could be a great way to get a chassis to just sit a shell on)

Wooders how low does this car sit to the ground? Can it be raised up to use as a normal TC?

Urm, I've never driven a TC,normal or not, tried driving it like a buggy! 🙄 (i can drift a boomerang on wet concrete quite well! 😎)

I got it for £54 (just under £60 delivered) price has gone back up though.

Just keep an eye on it, or put it in your basket and leave it 😉)

I'll get the measuring tape out, but I'd say it's the same as a TC.

Yes / no

I would think it can be raised up, but with a locked rear end and more drive going to the rear, it' always going to want to swap ends.

Ah it's rear wheel biased, I thought it was split 50/50... that rules it out then cheers.

As far as can gather!

I could be wrong 🙄

From the hobbyking link:

You can adjust the shock mounting position, camber/castor (front) and camber (rear). An adjustable ball differential is installed up front with a locked rear axle at the back. All of this, combined with the well thought out electronics mounting and battery placement makes this chassis so well balanced that even a complete newbie can be drifting like a pro in no-time!

Got it fixed and ran a full pack through it in the work tonight, tyres look a bit , well not worn, more ......scratched 🤔😂

20171122_234415.jpg

Even with only one pack through it (95% flat out though! 🙄) I had to stop, find the driveshaft plastic caps, and refit, four times!!

20171122_214737.jpg

Couple of battle scars......😕
