10mm is just about ok I guess, is there any room to increase it by playing with the shock mounts maybe, One photo shows the shock collar wound down to give more ride height already... I know for drifting low is good as you only use a flat surface anyway but for a road car used outdoors in a car park I'd want more ride height to stop it bouncing off stones and debris.

Great front impact damage there... argue with a table leg did it?

How about those driveshaft plastic caps keep coming off.... does that allow the dog bone to pop out each time?

I'll have a play about and see what it'll raise upto, there's some options on the shock towers, and at £2.50, could drill new holes.

There's also alloy upgrades, maybe more options with those?

What holds the driveshaft plastic caps in place? Is it pins or screws? After seeing this, I may completely disassemble mine and rebuild it to make sure everything is tight before I run it.

What's all that hair on your shocks? Did you hit a cat?

At least you can buff out that front dent. The rear is about what I expected mine to look like with the micro thin body.

On those driveshaft plastic caps, here's the reviews:

Guarantee if you have the Mission-D you will need these

Get these for spares it drop and break easily

It must be a common issue.

There was a motor/gearbox sat on the workshop floor, ideal for drifting around, so I thought, should have started with something movable! 🤔😕

The driveshaft fell out of the same side each time, but it's a UJ at the other end, so you don't loose the driveshafts, so it becomes 3wd! Not a clue why they fall off, it should be designed to rev , it's a drift car!

Neither, they just push onto dogbone and wedge into the drive cup.

MDF fibre, MDF factory workshop.

The dent just popped out, it' whitened it, but it'll be fine....

At that price , its not too bad news, more of a pain tbh!!

Not really, maybe claw a mil moving to a different position, putting on longer shocks would lift it, but would pull the driveshafts out a bit, and I'm guessing they'll then fall out every couple of revolutions!!

Found a use for the 12mm hex wheels / tyres I got for the Schumacher fusion!

Went dark by the time I faffed, ready to try though!! 🖒

Thanks for trying it, looks like it's a road hugger which is fine too ;)

Manage to try the skyllin with the grippy tyres and 3s lipo, the esc will run it, the car on the other hand.....

Spat a driveshaft after a minute, locked the rear, belt jumped teeth, 😕

On the plus side, the tyres, although it's still a drift car, so tail happy, actually responds like a regular car would to understeer, back off the throttle, it grips and turns in 🖒😁

Wow. You can see the marks from where the driveshaft was pressing into the drive cups. Is that from the rubber tires grip or general use? I still haven't even had a chance to run mine, and am now questioning if I should.

Bit of general use, grippier tyres and 3s lipo! They've not just worn, they've splayed!!

Its only had maybe 2 packs through in total though!?!

Hobbyking do alloy upgrades, different ratios available too.

Of course you should!

Have you seen the price of the spares, it' the p+p that's the expensive part 🙄

I'll run it for sure. Was only joking. I'll upgrade the weak points with alloy. I've had my eye on the counter steering axle, but was waiting to run it a few times first.

https://hobbyking.com/en_us/1-8-ratio-counter-fixed-axle-set-1-10-hobbyking-mission-d-4wd.html

My understanding is that the rear wheels turn a little faster than the fronts, allowing it to drive sideways a lot easier. I wouldn't try this with grippy tires though.

Finally got around to running mine. I changed the battery connectors, added a receiver and gave it some test laps around the couch. Couldn't go outside because it was raining all day. It really does like to drive sideways. I already put my first scuff on the bumper by sliding into a door.  Looking forward to taking it outside once it dries up. That steering angle really makes a difference in going sideways compared to the TT02 we drifted a few months back.
