Egress gearing

Can anybody give me a pinion size suggestion for my re-re Egress? I seem to recall reading that the Egress is actually geared a bit high and don't want to run into any overheating issues. I'm running a Torque Tuned motor and only around my backyard, so no issues about track size, turns, how long the straights are, etc. My main concern is keeping temps reasonable (the Egress design has poor motor cooling) without killing too much speed by being geared too low. Stick to the stock gearing or perhaps one less if you've not got much room for full throttle maxed out speed.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot to start with. I may even have a "metric" 21T steel Robinson Racing pinion in my parts collection.
