The majority of the rebuild is now finished. It's a rolling chassis and just needs electrics and body fitting.

I also need to get some new tyres to go on the more modern wheels. For the time being I've fitted some old (25 years), well worn, tyres from the depths of my old pit box.

Next step will be to solder up the cables on the ESC for it so I can hook up the electrics, centre the servo and get that mounted.

Electrics are now fitted and I've given it a little test run. It does seem to pull to the left a little, even after trying to trim it from the transmitter. It might be down to the wheels and tyres though, or it could be torque steer due to the brushless motor . I'll look at it again when I get some proper tyres for it.

Fitted electrics are a Trackstar Sportsman ESC, Speed Passion 4.0 13.5T brushless motor (18T pinion - that's what the car came to me with) and Bluebird High Speed servo.

I just need to find somewhere non-scratchy, non-dirty and non-breaky to run it (and others) :D

I've just finished restoring my old Top Force too. It's taken me 10 years to get all the bits but it's worth it!

As for running it there was a company doing a reproduction under tray for them, that would be worth looking into for sure

Genuine Tamiya and Team Blue Groove (reproduction) undertrays are available.

Mine has a TBG one fitted.
