Running my DT03 today and considered that the mismatched track width might not be so good. Rear is narrower than front with the truck wheels. I saw someone got some long drive cups and hexes the other week but searching through I can't find the post. Anyone help with part numbers? Running metal driveshafts so hopefully an easy swap? Cheers!

I'd be tempted to leave it narrower at the rear than the front, narrow rear/wide front means that the car will rotate better

(taken from the Alex Hagberg setup guide)

When the track width is widened, the roll center is raised. However, the total lateral weight transfer is reduced, which increases lateral grip.

Wider front:

A wider front end will increase off power steering especially in low speed. On-power steering is increased as well. The car will have more lateral grip at the front.

Narrower front:

The car will turn smoother both on and off power. The initial steering is reduced.  The car will feel more responsive however.

Wider rear:

The car will turn smoother both on and off power. The car will have less rotation. The rear tires are less likely to overheat since it won’t slide as much.

Narrower rear:

The car will rotate more; it will finish the corner better. On-power steering is increased. The rear tires are more likely to overheat as a result.

I also didn't like the wider-at-the-front look, so put longer axles and thicker hexes at the rear of my DT-03T. I'll check the part numbers I used when I get home later.

That will be a NO!!! the shaft ends that fit in the wheel axels have different size balls the GF ones are smaller so the DT ones are too large to fit in the GF wheel axels..... so I now have some UJ's that are a bit useless.....

Yes should have just bought those axles in the first place - much cheaper, I was trying to be clever and combine uj's. I ordered both the above ujs from tamico and 9mm hexes (Tamiya 54610). I assume you have just got these https://www.modelsport.co.uk/tamiya-tg10-long-wheel-axles-39mm-2-/rc-car-products/12240 along with the 9805551 dog bones?

I did at least get the DT-02 ball diff too so I can fit that (instead of making a sticky mess with the 500k diff oil! - how tight have you made your ball diff?

I already had metal dogbones in the car, but yes, those TG10 axles.

Cheers
