Granddad Stinky 975 Posted November 7, 2017 Firstly, many thanks to novicelad who honoured his word to give me first refusal on this, if he didn’t want it any more. I’m very grateful, I’ve wanted one for quite a while. I’ve taken inspiration from the Bonneville salt flat racers of the 1960’s and 70’s. It’s set up as a dedicated sand or soft surface car with light springs and 250cst oil, so it’ll absorb small beach ripples. I’ll switch to some sand paddles when funds allow. It’s been build from the parts store, except the Teampowers Cup Racer motor. I don’t know what turn rating it is but it’s surprisingly quick for £10 and it has an internal fan. ESC is a 1060. I’m rather pleased with the custom (Dremel chop) rear springs set-up, to counter the typical saggy rear end in these cars. I hope you like! This is a keeper.
